A large display informs the user about all operating modes with the aid of symbols. The state of charge is represented visually in the form of a tank display. Data such as voltage, current and state of charge can also be displayed digitally as figures on the display. In addition, the controller has an energy meter which can be reset by the user. Charge controllers are used in small solar home systems. Loads such as lights, radios or small TVs can be switched off manually on the controller without additional wall mounted switches. In professional applications such as telecommunication, the controllers can also be used in small photovoltaic power supply systems. Thanks to the universal series switching technology the controller can be used with amorphous, thin film and crystalline solar modules.
